Cashew Season Overview
At Dairaan Tanzania, we are committed to excellence in the sourcing and export of premium Raw Cashew Nuts (RCN). Rooted in transparency, quality assurance, and sustainability, our operations are designed to support Tanzanian farmers, align with government policies, and meet the stringent expectations of global buyers.
Tanzania’s cashew harvest is seasonal, and our export cycle aligns with the national calendar to ensure freshness, traceability, and compliance:
- Harvesting Season: October to January
- Auction/Bidding Period: Late October through March
- Export Window: November to April
🔑 How It Works:
Aggregation: Smallholder farmers deliver RCN to Primary Cooperative Societies (PCSs). Storage: Nuts are stored in licensed warehouses under the Tanzania Warehouse Licensing Board (TWLB). Auctioning: Weekly auctions are conducted by the Cashew Board of Tanzania (CBT). Purchasing: Dairaan bids competitively to secure high-grade RCN lots. Logistics: After purchase confirmation, nuts are processed for export under strict quality supervision.📍 Main Buying & Auction Zones
